    Lindsey MaGaw became the bride of Matt McCown of Statesboro, Ga., on Saturday, May 15, 2010, during a 3:30 p.m. ceremony held at Meinhardt Vineyards & Winery in Statesboro. The Rev. Billy Lowe and Dr. Phil Woodson officiated the double-ring ceremony.
    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert MaGaw of Bonaire, Ga., and is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randal Meacham of Bonaire and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert MaGaw Sr. of Warner Robins, Ga.
    The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Laymon McCown of Statesboro and is the grandson of Mrs. Robbie Stephens and the late Woodrow Stephens of Statesboro and Mr. and Mrs. William "Bill" Lee of Statesboro.
    Given in marriage by her father, Robert MaGaw, the bride's gown featured an all-over lace beaded bodice with a guava-colored sash at the waist and a trumpet skirt. The top featured a halter style and was finished with a chapel train. The bride carried a cascade of candlelight roses in varying shades of white and cream, accented with guava tea roses, soft greenery and cascading ribbons. She held her bouquet with a handkerchief belonging to the grandmother of the groom, Mrs. Robbie Stephens. The bouquet also featured a charm belonging to her late grandmother, Mrs. Julia MaGaw. The bride borrowed a ring from her grandmother, Mrs. Patricia Meacham, to wear in the wedding.
    Mallory MaGaw of Bonaire, Ga., , sister of the bride was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Maggie Baumann of Brunswick, Ga., cousin of the groom; Missy McNeal of Milledgeville, Ga., and Melanie Turner of Augusta, Ga.
    The bridesmaids wore long satin gowns in styles of their own choosing in the color of guava and carried a tied bouquet of candlelight roses in varying shades of white and cream with guava tea roses to accent.
    Laymon McCown of Statesboro, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Steven Baumann of Brunswick, cousin of the groom; Brett Denmark of Statesboro and Joel Ellis of Cincinnati, Ohio. Steve Baumann of Jekyll Island, Ga., cousin of the groom, and Edward Fleuren of Nashville, Ga., uncle of the groom, served as ushers. Ring bearer was Franz Gilbert II of Pooler, Ga., cousin of the groom.
    Immediately after the wedding, the reception was held in the courtyard at Meinhardt Vineyards & Winery.
    The couple departed the reception in a 1959 Edsel that belonged to the groom's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William "Bill" Lee of Statesboro, which they used for their own wedding 49 years ago. A casual evening celebration was held at the Southern Hospitality Center Ballroom at the Springhill Marriott later that evening.
    The couple honeymooned on the islands of Oahu and Kauaii, Hawaii, and now resides in Statesboro.

Local Prenuptial Parties
    Prior to their wedding, Lindsey MaGaw and Matt McCown were guests of honor at several prenuptial parties.
    A Bridal Coffee was held at the home of Anne Edwards in Statesboro. Hostesses were Vernette Hatten, Anne Edwards, Margie Denmark, Joyce Davis, Jerry Singletary and Jennie Pullen.
    A Miscellaneous Shower was held at the home of Lee Sparks in Warner Robins, Ga.
    An Afternoon Tea Bridal Shower was held in the Averitt Room of the First Baptist Church in Statesboro. Hostesses were Leigh Baumann, Barbara Brooks, Ruth Brown, Janell Chester, Carole Counts, Carolyn Hogan, Mary Ellen Deal, Gayle Denmark, Sue Fleuren, Fay Foy Franklin, Ashley Gilbert, Linda Hodges, Lynn Lamb, Lynn Lee, Myra Lipsey, Dale Nessmith, Linda Reddick, Kay Rule, Betty Jo Williams, Becky Williams, Allene Williams and Sue Wood.
    A Couple's Party was hosted by friends of the couple and included the Tim McGraw concert.
    A Bridal "Day of Beauty" and Luncheon was held at Merle Norman Studios with lunch from Sugar Magnolia Bakery & Market on the morning of the wedding.
