Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Land of Washington, Ga., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jamie Nicole Land of Statesboro, to Timothy Ronald Alderman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Alderman of Statesboro.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Gambrell of Tignall, Ga., and Ms. Jeanette Land and the late Mr. Thomas Land of Washington, Ga. Jamie graduated from Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School, attended Georgia Southern University and Ogeechee Technical College. She is employed with Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, Ga., as a surgical technologist.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Ms. Myrtice Sconyers and the late Mr. Julian Sconyers Sr. of Swainsboro, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Alderman of Statesboro, Ga. He graduated from Statesboro High School, attended Georgia Southern University, Ogeechee Technical College and the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth, Ga. Timothy is currently a firefighter with the City of Statesboro.
    Jamie and Timothy will be married on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at 4:30 p.m. at The Belle House, 408 Westside Road, Statesboro, Ga., 30458. A reception will follow.
