Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Alan (formerly Marcia Mays) Kurtz of Marietta, Ga., are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Lauren Nicole Kurtz, to Daniel Paul Lewin of Atlanta, Ga., son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry (Vicky) Lewin of Augusta, Ga. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Joyce Mays McElveen and the late Mr. John Ford Mays of Brooklet, Ga. She is also the great-granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Warnell Olen Denmark Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Jones Mays. Miss Kurtz graduated from Pope High School in Marietta, Ga. She then graduated from the University of Georgia in 2006 with a degree in psychology and sociology. In 2009, she received her master’s degree from The Citadel in Charleston, S.C., in counseling.
