    Mr. and Mrs. Mike Ethridge of Statesboro and Mr. John Kopotic of Saint Simons Island, Georgia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kasey Lynn Kopotic of Statesboro, to Kenneth Russell DeMott Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Ken DeMott Sr. of Moultrie, Georgia.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Barbara Beasley and the late Mr. Waldo Beasley of Statesboro and Mrs. Betty Whaley-Moxley of Brunswick and the late Mr. James Kopotic. Kasey graduated from Statesboro High School in 2011 and is currently enrolled in the diagnostic medical sonography diploma program at Ogeechee Technical College.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Marilyn DeMott and the late Mr. Lewis DeMott. He graduated from Colquitt County High School in 2010 and will graduate from Georgia Southern University in December 2015 with a general studies degree with an emphasis in biology, environmental sustainability and coaching.
    The couple has planned to wed on October 10, 2015, at 5:30 p.m. at Gin Creek Plantation in Hartsfield, Georgia.
