Courtney Beth Johnson and Lance Houston Holloway

Susan Lee Anthony of Metter, Ga., and John Paul and Monica Johnson of Portal, Ga., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Beth Johnson, to Lance Houston Holloway, son of Lance and Pam Holloway, also of Metter.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ginger Gregory and the late John Gregory, Kay Anthony and the late Jimmy Anthony, all of Statesboro; the late Paul and Ritha B. Johnson of Portal; and Bill and Wilma Gainey of Millen. Courtney is a 2010 graduate of Metter High School. After graduation, she attended East Georgia College in Swainsboro, where she completed all of her prerequisites for nursing before transferring to Southeastern Technical College in Vidalia. She graduated with honors in December 2015 as a member of the first accelerated class in registered nursing from STC. Courtney is currently employed as a registered nurse in the emergency department at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Lamar and Pam Holloway of Metter; Annette and Larry Hightower of Collins, Ga.; and Dale McGowan and the late William McGowan of Keysville, Ga. Houston is a 2007 graduate of David Emanuel Academy in Stillmore, Ga. He is employed as a general contractor by Holloway Construction located in Metter.

Courtney and Houston will wed at 6 p.m. on October 22, 2016, at Dutch Ford Farms in Excelsior, Ga. The reception will immediately follow the ceremony.

No local invitations will be sent. All family and friends are invited to attend both the ceremony and reception.
