Jakyn Nicole Jennings and Christopher Todd Tyson

    Mr. Tom Jennings of Rochelle announces the engagement of his daughter, Jakyn Nicole Jennings of Bristol, to Christopher Todd Tyson, son of Mr. Wendell Tyson of Dublin and Ms. Gail Deal Tyson of Statesboro. Miss Jennings is also the daughter of the late Kathy Williams Jennings.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bill Jennings of Dawson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Tony Williams of Blakely. She graduated from Wilcox County High School in 2003. After graduating from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in 2005 with an Associate of Science in Recreation, she attended Georgia Southern University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Community Leisure Services with a minor in Public Relations in 2007. She has been employed by the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service since 2008 and is currently working as the 4-H agent in Bacon County.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lemuel Deal Sr. of Statesboro and Ms. Doris Tyson of Dublin. He is also the grandson of the late Mr. Robert Tyson of Cadwell. Mr. Tyson graduated from Statesboro High School in 2002. He attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and graduated with an Associate of Science in Agriculture in 2004. He attended the University of Georgia and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 2006. Mr. Tyson works in Tattnall County, Ga., where he is an Agriculture and Natural Resources agent with the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service.
    The couple has planned to wed on April 13, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. at Beaver Creek Plantation in Twin City, Ga.
