Mr. and Mrs. Vance A. Haesemeyer of Hudson, Wis., announce the engagement of their daughter, Julia Nicole, to Samuel Bayne Hill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Groover Hill.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Henry Haesemeyer and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Owens. Julia received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin, where she was president of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She received her Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law. She is an attorney with the firm of Lawler, Green, Prinz & Gleklen, LLC, in Atlanta, Ga.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mary Virginia Groover Hill and the late Walker Pratt Hill Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Carl Byers. Bayne received his Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Georgia, where he was president of Sigma Chi Fraternity and a member of the Gridiron Society. He is a former board member of the University of Georgia Athletic Association and University of Georgia Alumni Association. He is a vice president and senior portfolio manager with Morgan Stanley in Atlanta.
    The wedding will take place in Beaver Creek, Colo., on August 30, 2014.
