Emory "Chip" and Lane Godbee of Statesboro, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Elizabeth Godbee, to Thomas Millard Law III, son of Mrs. Nancy Law and the late Thomas Millard Law Jr. of Dunwoody, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Emory Godbee Sr. and Joanne Shearouse Brown of Statesboro, Ga., and the late John M. and Marion Ormand of Thomaston, Ga. Rachel is a graduate of Georgia Southern University. She earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Kennesaw State University and is currently employed by Georgia-Pacific in Atlanta, Ga.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Frank and Lora Shannon of Franklin, Ky., and the late Thomas Millard Law Sr. and Lela Law Beal of Nashville, Tenn. Tom is a graduate of the University of Georgia and is the senior designer for an interactive agency in Atlanta.
    The couple has planned to wed on Sept. 8, 2012, at 5 p.m. at The Mackey House in Savannah, Ga.
