Samuel Lawton Glisson and Doris Ann Akins were married on May 16, 1964, at the Brooklet Primitive Baptist Church. They have three sons — Ricky, Lee and Joe (Kristen) — and five grandchildren: Robin, Katie, MacKenzie, Reese and J.D. Sammy and Ann will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at the Brooklet Recreation Department on Cromley Road from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Family and friends are invited.
