Mr. and Mrs. Curtis and Jeanie Gay of Register, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Christine Gay of Kennesaw, Ga., to John Edward Loesel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Patricia Loesel of Dunwoody, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Curtis and JoAnn Gay of Hampton, Ga., and Emogene Rushing and the late J.H. "Pete" Rushing of Register, Ga. She is a 2007 graduate of Statesboro High School and a 2012 graduate of Kennesaw State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Edward and Rose Loesel of Plainview, N.Y., and John Siraco and the late Lillian Siraco of Dunwoody, Ga. He is a 2004 graduate of Dunwoody High School and a 2009 graduate of The Georgia Institute of Technology, with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He is employed with Applied Technical Services in Marietta, Ga., as an engineering consultant.
    The couple has planned to wed on October 13, 2012, in Statesboro, Ga.
