Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Ryan Dotts

    Caroline Lydell Cox and Patrick Ryan Dotts of Atlanta, Georgia, were united in marriage during a 5:30 p.m. ceremony held on April 28, 2012, at the Statesboro First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Robert H. Brandt, grandfather of the groom, and the Rev. Thad G. Harvey officiated.
    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Cox III of Statesboro and is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe P. Warren of Statesboro and Dr. and Mrs. Charles C. Cox Jr. of Coral Gables, Fla.
    The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl H. Brandt of Bowling Green, Ohio, and is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Drummer of Bowling Green, Ohio, and the Rev. and Mrs. Robert H. Brandt of Pemberville, Ohio.
    Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a fit and flare silhouette gown with a sweetheart bodice of duchesse satin overlayed with French lace finishing at the neckline with a Victorian collar. The open back was overlayed with lace accented with delicate buttons and featured a chapel-length train with an elaborately detailed hemline of scalloped lace embellished with seed pearls. The bride carried a bouquet of seeded euculupytus, salal, white spray roses, white tulips, white alstro lillies and white iris.
    Elisabeth Warren Cox of Atlanta, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Rachael Marie Decker of Akron, Ohio, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Bonnie Jones Ryckman of Nashville, Tennessee, Courtne’ Marie Davis of Nashville, Tennessee, and Laura “Molly” Bickerton of Statesboro.
    The attendants carried bouquets of white and green buttons, white cushons, green hydrangeas, white alstro lillies, purple Monte Casino, blue thistle, seeded euculptus and salal.
    Aaron Matthew Bowen of Chicago, Illinois, served as best man. Groomsmen were Lee Michael Dotts of Bowling Green, Ohio, brother of the groom; Geoffrey Charles Schwab of Bowling Green, Ohio; Tyler Paul Opperman of Chicago, Illinois; and Brandon Stephen Decker of Akron, Ohio. Lt. Kevin S. Uyeno was an honorary groomsman.
    Ushers included Albert M. Cox and Charles K. Cox, cousins of the bride, and Joshua M. Ryden.
    Music was provided by Dr. Pierce Dickens, organist; Lee Walker, handbells; and Brenna Lacey, soloist.
    Readings were given by Savanna Lambert Prevatt and Whitney Taylor.
    Others assisting with the wedding included Leigh Anne DiVito and Jimmy Hood.
    Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Meldrim Woods Plantation in Brooklet, Georgia
    For their honeymoon, the couple enjoyed a one-week stay in Aruba, an island of the Lesser Antilles in the southern Caribbean Sea.
    They now reside in Tucker, Georgia.
