Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Irwin Colson of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela Suzanne Colson of Atlanta, to James Pargen Robertson Jr., son of Judge and Mrs. James Pargen Robertson Sr. of Atlanta.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. H.D. Colson and the late Mr. H.D. Colson of Statesboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Tolton of Kensington, Maryland. She is a graduate of Statesboro High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Georgia Southern University and a Master of Arts degree in communication from Georgia State University. Angie is currently a senior public affairs specialist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.
Pargen is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Lee Robertson of Alexandria, Louisiana, and the late Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Barron of Memphis, Tennessee. He is a graduate of Druid Hills High School in Atlanta and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and juris doctor degree from Tulane University. He served as an officer in the United States Navy and is a veteran of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Pargen now practices law in Atlanta as in-house general counsel for the Georgia World Congress Center Authority.
Angie and Pargen will marry on Sept. 23, 2017 in Atlanta.
