Rene Bohler Childree of Brooklet is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Jeanna Lorraine of Douglasville, Georgia, formerly of Alma, Georgia, to Troy Edward Connor, also of Douglasville and formerly of Ashburnham, Massachusetts.
Jeanna is the daughter of the late James David Childree of Cordele, Statesboro and Alma. She is the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Charles Emory Bohler of Brooklet and the late Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Reuben Childree of Cordele.
Troy is the son of Shawn Paul Connor of Ashburnham and Hookset, New Hampshire, and the late Kim Lemieur Connor of Ashburnham. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lemieur of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, and Port St. Lucie, Florida, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Connor, also of Florida.
A 2003 graduate of Bacon County High School in Alma, Jeanna attended Georgia Southern University. She graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in apparel design with an emphasis in fashion merchandising and a minor in business. Formerly a supervisor for Anthropologie’s Ponce City Market Store, she is currently employed as the visual merchandise manager of Anthropologie’s Perimeter Mall store, Atlanta.
Troy graduated from Oakmont Regional High School in Ashburnham in 2006. A U.S. Marine Corps corporal, he served in Operation Iraqi Freedom (2008–09) and Operation Enduring Freedom (2010). Following his USMC service, Troy graduated from the National Aviation Academy, Clearwater, Florida, in 2014. He is employed as an aviation mechanic by Southwest Airlines at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
The couple plans a May 1, 2021, wedding on Saint Simons Island, Georgia.
