Donna Marie Carnley Joseph Barclay Black

    Mr. and Mrs. Don Carnley of Statesboro, Georgia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Donna Marie Carnley of Statesboro, to Joseph Barclay Black, son of Dr. Charlene Rushton Black and Mr. J.W. Black, both of Sylvania, Georgia.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Rosa (Sally) Holley and the late Mr. Tom Holley of Samson, Alabama, and Mrs. Jane Carnley and the late Mr. Alfred Carnley of Kinston, Alabama. Donna is an honor graduate of Statesboro High School and a magna cum laude graduate of Georgia Southern University, with a B.A. in History. In 2003, Donna received a Juris Doctor from Walter F. George School of Law (Mercer University). She is employed as an attorney for the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit Public Defender's Office and has been so employed since 2005.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Dr. Archie Rushton and Mrs. Bettye Rushton of Lavonia, Georgia, and the late Mr. Alton and Mrs. Runelle Black of Millen, Georgia. Barclay is an honor graduate of Screven County High School and a cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia, with a B.B.A. in Economics. In 1995, Barclay received a Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law. He is employed as an attorney for the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office and has been so employed since 1999.
    The couple plans to wed on October 2, 2010, at Brooklet United Methodist Church.
