Scott and Denise Brookins of Brooklet, Ga., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Brooke Brookins, to Reid Evan Waters, son of Allen and Lori Waters of Brooklet.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bobby and Margaret Griner of Moultrie, Ga., and Roslyn Brookins and the late Frank Brookins of Byron, Ga. Brooke graduated from Southeast Bulloch High School in 2007 and attended Georgia College & State University, where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications in May 2011 and is employed as an account consultant by The Color Spot in Marietta, Ga.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Larry and Diane Sharpe and the late Pat Sharpe of Nevils, Ga., and the late Lester and Juanita Waters of Brooklet. Reid is a 2006 graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School and attended Georgia Southern University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management in 2011. He is employed as a project manager by Reams Enterprises and Structural Builders in Atlanta, Ga.
    The wedding is planned for October 5, 2013, at Tybee Island Wedding Chapel.
