Mr. & Mrs. Michael Kennedy Avant
    Lydia Marie Seabol and Michael Kennedy Avant were married November 11 at First United Methodist Church in Tuscaloosa, Ala., with the Rev. Ken Dunivant officiating the 5:30 p.m. ceremony.
    The bride is the daughter of Patrick Seabol of Palm Springs, Calif., and Kristin Seabol of Florence, Ala. She is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Orvis Engelstad of Florence, Martha Seabol of San Clemente, Calif., and the late Andrew Seabol.
    The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Avant of Statesboro. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Kennedy of Pooler.
    Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless, silk duchess white gown with a chapel-length train.
    The bride was attended by Andrea Lauren Seabol of Florence, Ala., sister of the bride, as maid of honor and Brittany Smith Herring of Virginia Beach, Va., as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ragnhild Gulsvik of Oslo, Norway, Amy Elizabeth Childers of Nashville, Tenn., Sheila McGee Guiler of Battlefield, Mo., and Janna Michelle Keenum and Carla Jean Whitley, both of Birmingham, Ala. Flower girl was Abigail Grace Avant of Bogart, niece of the groom.
    David Lane Avant of Bogart, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were David Nicholas Crouch and Travis Joshua Roberts of Atlanta, Matthew Alan Shumaker of Baton Rouge, La., Matthew Thomas Yogus, Robert Lee Davis III and Derrick Robert Stoddard, all of Statesboro. Sean Phillip Engelstad of Marietta, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.
    After a trip to St. Lucia, the couple now lives in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
