Carrie Elizabeth Scott Jonathan Carter Rafferty
    Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Scott of Fair Play, S.C., would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Carrie Elizabeth Scott of Statesboro, to Jonathan Carter Rafferty, son of Ms. Janet Rafferty of Campbellsville, Ky., and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Rafferty of Mechanicsville, Va.
    Carrie is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mildred T. Scott and the late Edward C. Scott of Statesboro and Mrs. Hazel L. Vaughn and the late Charles L. Vaughn of Spring Hill, Fla. She is a 2001 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a BA in Accounting. She works as an internal auditor with Southern States Coop.
    Jonathan is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James S. Netherland and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin C. Rafferty, all of Campbellsville, Ky. He is a 1997 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a BA in Accounting. He works as an internal auditor with Southern States Coop.
    The matron of honor will be Jennifer Fink, sister of the bride. Attendants are Maria Larsson of Roswell, Ga., Lora Christian of Deatsville, Ala., and Amanda Scott of Statesboro.
    The best man is Bryan Bennett of Campbellsville, Ky. Groomsmen are Jason Smith of Campbellsville, Ky., Nicholas Rafferty of Mechanicsville, Va., and Grant Miller of Harrodsburg, Ky.
    The couple has planned to wed at the Chapel at Quail Creek in Hartselle, Ala., on May 3, 2008, at 6 o’clock in the evening.
