Mrs. Jonathan Daniel Mize
    Brittany Marie Mallard of Lexington, S.C., became the bride of Jonathan Daniel Mize of Union, S.C., during a 6:30 p.m. ceremony held at the Lexington United Methodist Church in Lexington on August 19, 2006. The Rev. Matthew Williamson officiated.
    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter H. “Chip” Mallard Jr. of Lexington and is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Henry S. Miller of Winston-Salem, N.C., and LaRue T. Mallard and the late Walter H. Mallard of Statesboro.
    The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel O. Mize of Union, S.C., and is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. W. Thomas Bobo, Dr. Jean C. Mize and the late Harold H. Mize, all of Union.
    Music was provided by Kevin McGee and Charles Polk.
    Given in marriage by her father, Walter H. Mallard Jr., the bride wore a white strapless A-line satin gown with a chapel train. The bodice and organza skirt were decorated with intricate beading and silver metallic embroidery. She wore a matching embroidered veil.
    Kimberly Decell, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Holly Hipp was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Nancy Hart Deal, Lindsay Haselden, Julie Jefferson, Caroline Williams and Mila Wilmoth. Kallee Garner was flower girl.
    Daniel O. Mize served as best man. Groomsmen were Adam Mize, brother of the groom; Russ Austin, Brandon Brown, Grady Burton, Jason Crosby and Clay Garner, cousin of the groom. Noah Garner was ring bearer.
    Following the ceremony, the bride and groom traveled to the reception at Saluda Shoals River Center in a white horse-drawn carriage.
    The couple honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and now resides in Greenwood, S.C.
