Mrs. Alvin Rocker Bobo
Elizabeth Sandidge Beasley of Statesboro became the bride of Alvin Rocker Bobo of Statesboro on October 7, 2006 at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church in Savannah. The Very Right Rev. Edward Harrison of Jacksonville, Fla., officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. John J. Beasley of Statesboro. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David M. Bobo of Statesboro.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a satin strapless gown. The bodice featured a drop waist with a dramatic beaded waistline. The three-dimensional beading also adorned the cathedral-length train. The two box pleats on the front of the A-line gown were enhanced by additional box pleats on the back of the dress. The Austrian bustle lifted the train for the reception. Her veil was cathedral-length with a blush veil worn for the ceremony.
Maid of honor was Carol Lynn Hicks of Portal. Bridesmaids were Pamela Lynn Reyburn of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Wendy Nicole Wade of Atlanta. The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore floor-length burgundy satin gowns.
The father of the groom was best man. Groomsmen were Gregory Dixon Avera and Clinton Raleigh Nessmith of Statesboro. Ushers were James William Krieger of Seattle, Wash., and Todd Robert White of Atlanta.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Hilton Savannah DeSoto. Madison Phillips of Statesboro presided over the guest book.
The couple are honeymooning in Paris, France. They will reside in Jacksonville, Fla.
