Local teacher's campaign honors fallen runner

Katie Jasionowski, a prekindergarten teacher at Langston Chapel Elementary School, is on a quest for a family in need. Jasionowski participated in the Rock ’n’ Roll Savannah Marathon on Nov. 9 when tragedy struck. Jake Zeman, of Columbia, S.C., was one of the 18,500 runners in the marathon but fell dead near the finish line due to a mitral valve prolapse.
