Shelly Nettles Barber and Shannon Keith Middleton were united in marriage on the evening of Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017. Surrounded by close family and friends, the celebration took place at The Belle House in Statesboro.

The bride is the daughter of the Rev. Warnie and Judy Nettles of Blackshear, Georgia. The groom is the son of Keith and Cynthia Middleton of Statesboro.

The bride was given in marriage by her son, Sheldon.

Sheldon Barber and Collin Middleton, the son of the groom, stood in attendance with their parents as the bride’s father performed the double-ring ceremony.

Ms. Barber is a graduate of Fresno State. She has recently joined the team of Dr. Cecil Bray, DMD, and Dr. Sally Young, DMD, as their practice administrator.

Mr. Middleton is a graduate of Georgia Southern and is employed with Premise Health as the director of client operations.

After nine days of sight-seeing throughout Maine, the couple will reside locally.
