Mr. and Mrs. O'neal and Lue Ellen Young of Statesboro celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on July 16, 2007. The couple was married on July 16, 1957, at the Bulloch County Courthouse. They have 9 children, Elvis Young, Pauline Jackson, Alvin Young, Zandra Young, Tracy Williams, DeWayne Young, Cynthia Young, Michael Andrews and Sonja Young, all of Statesboro; 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. O'neal has worked in the maintenance department at East Georgia Regional Medical Center for 23 years while Lue Ellen is a retired food service coordinator at Georgia Southern University.
