Mr. and Mrs. W. Robert Smith celebrated their Golden wedding anniversary at the Cherokee Town and Country Club on April 15, 2006 in Atlanta with their children and grandchildren, Dr. and Mrs. W. Robert Smith Jr. (Lisa), Robert and Carolyn, Mr. and Mrs. Al N. Nessmith Jr. (Marian), Garrett and Jenny, Dr. and Mrs. Edwin A. Smith (Leslie), Caitlin and Thomas. They were married April 19,1956, at the Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church by Mrs. Smith’s father, Eld. Virgil F. Agan, assisted by Eld. T. Roe Scott with the reception following at Forest Heights Country Club.
