Lemmon and Marjorie McCorkle
    Lemmon and Marjorie McCorkle of Claxton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary November 12, 2006 with a reception at the Pineview Baptist Church social hall in Reidsville from 2 until 4 p.m. The occasion will be hosted by their children, Joey and Robin McCorkle of Hinesville, Terry and Marie McCorkle of Claxton, Reese and Carmen McCorkle of Register; and their eight grandchildren. The couple was married November 28, 1956, at the bride’s home by the late Rev. Adolph Stanfield, great-uncle of the bride. Marjorie is the daughter of Dwight and Vera Tatum of Glennville. She owned and operated McCorkle Daycare in Swainsboro for 22 years. Lemmon is the son of the late Wilburn and Molly McCorkle of Register and retired as president of Evans Concrete Products of Claxton after 46 years of service. All friends and family are invited to the reception. The honor of your presence is the only gift requested.
