            The following are among the food service establishments inspected in December 2011 and January 2012 by the Bulloch County Health Department. The department scores on a 100-percentile scale. Kitchens are inspected at least every four months and are required to post their score sheets in public. The score and selected comments from health inspectors are included in each report. All eating establishments are located in Statesboro, except where noted.             Do not put personal drinks around food in coolers. Hand sink up front must be repaired and operational. Clean ice machine. All potentially-hazardous foods must be held at 41 degrees F or cooler. When using the 4-hour time as a public health control, food must be marked to indicate begin time and time to discard. Do not put food on/in 3-compartment sink. No hand arm/jewelry allowed on cooks aside from plain wedding band. Cooks must have hat or hair net. Repaint/repair shelves where needed. Food discarded.             Statesboro Inn Restaurant, 106 South Main Street  Score: 88

            A few utensils and utensil holders had food residue. Build-up inside of microwave; corrected on-site. Label all working containers of cleaners. Store plates and pots inverted. Observed single-service articles handled, displayed or dispensed in a manner that allows for contamination. Repair any pitted surfaces. Clean inside the freezer, the storage cart and the sink basins. Repair walls, floors where needed. Firm in process of remodeling upper kitchen. Restaurant not open for outside business at this time according to management. Inspector: Misty McKanna.

            Willow Pond Assisted Living, 4344 Country Club Road  Score: 83

            Several dented cans on shelves — corners dented. Out-of-date products found in dry storage — dressings, toppings, sauces, spices, etc. Raw meats stored on and over ready-to-eat foods.
