BELLVILLE — Bulloch Academy pulled out a  1-0 victory over Pinewood Christian Academy in Region 4-AAA baseball action Tuesday.
     The Gators (3-1 overall, 1-0 in region play) scored the game’s lone run in the second inning. Pitcher Jarret Humphries reached on an error and advanced to second base on a wild pitch. He took third on Clayton Roger’s ground out and raced home when PCA committed another error, this time on a Forrest Spence shot back to the pitcher.
     Bulloch was held hitless by Pinewood hurler Taylor Lewis, who fanned 11 batters and hit two. Humphries allowed just two PCA hits, striking out six batters and walking five.
     BA travels to Port Wentworth today to face Memorial Day School and will return home Friday to face region foe Westminster of Augusta.
