Local Roundup: BA dominates second half

    The boys basketball team of Bulloch Academy used aggressive defense and unselfish play on the offensive end to outscore Trinity Christian School by 25 points in the second half on the way to a 61-32 victory Tuesday night in Dublin.
    The Gators (3-7, 1-0) led 25-21 at halftime, but went on a 23-5 third-quarter run to seal the outcome.
    Wil Hall and Jordan Walker paced BA with 13 points each, while Will Powell added 12.

Lady Gators fall, 64-22
    Bulloch Academy’s girls team lost a road game to Trinity Christian School on Tuesday, 64-22.
    BA (6-6, 0-1) was led by Addie Reddick’s eight points. Laine Hobbs scored a game-high 15 for Trinity (12-3, 2-0).

Claxton girls lose
    The girls basketball team of Claxton (5-8, 1-3) lost a region game to Calvary (13-2, 5-0) on Tuesday, 58-41.
    The Lady Tigers were led by Lacreasha Brewton’s 21 points and the double-double of Ashley Kennedy (16 points, 10 rebounds). It wasn’t enough to down seventh-ranked Calvary, however.
    Claxton’s next game comes at home on Friday against region foe Bryan County.

Gator B-team comes up short
    Bulloch Academy’s B-team girls fell to Trinity Christian School Tuesday, 31-14.
    Kinsley Mallard led the Lady Gators (3-1-1) with six points.
