SPARTANBURG, S.C. —The Southern Conference honored 175 Georgia Southern student-athletes for the 2012-13 season as the conference announced its academic honor roll. A SoCon high 19 Eagles posted a perfect 4.0 grade point average, and 89 earned the Commissioner’s Medal, awarded annually tostudent-athletes who attain a GPA of 3.5 or higher throughout the year. The football team had 27 selections to the honor roll, while the swimming and diving team had 26 and the women’s soccer squad posted 25.
