STATESBORO, GA. -- Mr. Dennis Leo “Kidd” Smith, age 63, died on Friday, February 18, 2022, at the Ogeechee Area Hospice inpatient facility.
He lived for most of his life in Bulloch County.
He was a retired master carpenter.
Kidd enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and riding his Harley Davidson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Eugene Talmadge Smith and Peggy Girardeau Smith; and a brother, Bobby E. “Sonny” Smith.
Surviving is his wife of 38 years, Melinda Waters Smith; a son, Marshall Dylan Smith; and a daughter and son-in-law, Dallas and Dillion Jacobs; a brother, Kenneth Smith; and two sisters, Terry Jane Harn and Genia Ward; a sister-in-law, Gale Thompson; and three brothers-in-law, Glenn Waters, Skipper Waters and Mike Waters.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home.
