Statesboro, Ga. — Ms. Perdthia “Dee” Campbell Lockett, age 57, passed into eternal rest on Monday, October 22, 2018, at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. She attended Statesboro High School and received a cosmetology license from Statesboro Beauty School. She worked as a hair stylist for 31 years, a dietitian for over 24 years and a personal caregiver. She was a member of the Agape Worship Center.
Her memories will be cherished by her loving husband, John C. Lockett, three children: James Campbell, Ricardo Campbell, and Nicole Lockett, all of Statesboro, Ga., eight sisters: Sylvia Campbell, Tammy Smith, Vernita Smith, Latonya (Wiley) Shipman, Tedatha Roberson of Statesboro, Ga., Keisha Wilson of Richmond, Va., Brenda Thornton of Boston, Mass, and Felicia Johnson of North Charleston, S.C., two brothers: Mickey (Terri) Campbell of Harrisburg, Pa. and Robert Smith of Statesboro, Ga., 6 grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
Family visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Ben Samuel Hill Memorial Chapel of Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
Ms. Lockett will lie in state at the church on the day of service from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.
There will be no viewing after eulogy.
The funeral service for Ms. Lockett will be held 1 p.m. Monday, October 29, 2018, at the Agape Worship Center, 810 West Grady Street Ext., Statesboro, Ga., with the Bishop Anthony Chavers, Presiding, the Elder Donald Chavers, Jr. Pastor, Officiating.
Burial will be in the Summerhill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
