MIAMI, Fla. -- Mrs. Patsy Ann Atkinson, age 78, passed into eternal rest on Friday, January 25, 2019, in Miami, Fla.
She was a native of Bulloch County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late James and Sallie William Roberson and daughter of the late Amy Roberson.
She was educated in the public schools of Bulloch County and received an associate's of arts degree from Miami-Dade Community College. She was an employee of the Miami-Dade County Public School System for over 30 years.
She was a faithful member of Atkins Memorial and a supporter of Middleground Church of God.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert F. Atkinson, Miami, Fla.; two sons, Charles Gregory Atkinson (Pamela), Marietta, Ga.; and Gary Atkinson, Miami, Fla.; a granddaughter, Jasmine D. Atkinson; six sisters, Betty Allen, Chaplin Gracie Cooper, Pastor Mary Frances Roberson, Vanessa D. Roberson-Reed, Alfredia Roberson and Donna F. Grace; four brothers, James Roberson Jr., Jimmie Lee Roberson (Sandra), Harvey Lee Roberson (Jerolynn) and Bishop Roy Roberson (Olivia); three sisters-in-law, Ruth Stubbs, Juanita McNeal and Annie K. Briggs (Archie); three brothers-in-law, Ernest Atkinson, James Atkinson (Mary) and Walter Atkinson Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Mrs. Atkinson will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at Crooms Temple Church of God in Christ with Pastor Calvin Donaldson as eulogist. The pastor is Elder Ronald Crooms.
Burial will be in Miami.
