UPDATE - Man rescued from grain elevator shaft in Nevils
Victim flown to Savannah hospital with injuries

According to police scanner reports, a man has been rescued after falling around 20 feet into a grain elevator shaft near Nevils. The man suffered injuries, but was conscious and alert, according to reports. According to a co-worker at the scene, 64 year-old Charles Edward Thomas slipped from an I-beam above the elevator around 4 p.m. Thursday and fell to the metal floor below.
