About 100 members of the Up with People cast touring North America in 2015 will be in Statesboro for the week of Aug. 24–31. While in Bulloch County, the cast will participate in various local service projects and live with local host families. And on Friday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m., Up with People will perform a variety show at Statesboro High School for the public.
In the weeks leading up to the show, the Herald will introduce you to some of the cast members, who hail from around the US and the world, each Sunday.

Marcela Jiménez Salazar, 27 — Costa Rica

Marcela studied at the University of South Alabama, where she received her minor in biomedical science. She is currently getting her major in psychology at the University of Anáhuac in Cancún, Mexico. This is Marcela's second semester with Up with People, and she is taking time off from her university studies to pursue her dream of traveling with the group.

Wuo Tongondah Korto, 20 — Liberia
Wuo graduated from high school in 2013 and is currently studying electrical engineering at Stella Maris Polytechnic in Liberia. Back in high school, he served as the Chief of Justice of the honor council elected by his peers. He sees Up with People as an opportunity that could encourage young people to make the best of themselves and prepare them to carry out their dreams. He believes Up with People is a rewarding, life-changing experience for host families and people who come to the shows, as it creates a unique opportunity to experience other cultures and establish lifelong relationships and global unity.

Glenn de Kemel, 17 — Bruges, Belgium
Glenn is one of the youngest cast members. He just graduated from high school and is also a balloon artist. He heard about Up with People through his mom, who hosted a cast member when she was young. They went together to an Up with People show in a city close to his hometown, and he decided to join the group. He is excited that Cast B15 is going to Oostenede, pretty close to his hometown of Bruges, so he will be able to share the experience with his loved ones.
