Statesboro police arrested two teens on outstanding warrants Tuesday stemming from a Sept. 5 attack on a victim at the local public library. Kodi Deshawn Slater, 17, Cone Homes, and Lavonte Daqueze Prescott, 17, Wildwood Circle, each were arrested on charges of battery and unlawful participation in gang activity, said Statesboro Police Community Information Specialist Madison Bridges. Detectives responding to the Sept. 5 attack against a 16-year-old male learned a group of offenders physically attacked the teen and took his cell phone.
