The Accent Creative Group received an Award of Excellence (Gold) at the 31st Annual Communicator Awards for its creative work on the 2024 Visit Statesboro Visitors Guide.

Presented by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts, the awards honor the highest level of achievement in marketing and communication, according to a release from Accent. With thousands of entries submitted from around the world, the Communicator Awards is one of the largest and most competitive programs of its kind.

The 2024 Visit Statesboro Visitors Guide was created in collaboration with the Statesboro Convention & Visitors Bureau.

“This project was a perfect blend of storytelling and strategy,” said Pam Ledbetter, CEO and Owner of Accent Creative Group. “Our goal was to create something that didn’t just inform, but truly connected people to the spirit of Statesboro. Winning a Communicator Award of Excellence is an incredible honor, and it’s a testament to the power of collaboration and the authenticity of the community we were privileged to showcase.”

The 2024 guide goes beyond traditional listings. It includes local stories and personal profiles throughout. One of the sections, “Hometown Highlights,” features community figures like Steve Hein, executive director of the Wildlife Center at Georgia Southern University, along with local chefs, entrepreneurs and others who make Statesboro unique.

“Statesboro is a place of southern possibility,” said Becky Sanders, President and CEO of Visit Statesboro. “It’s a community of incredible people with stories to be shared. This guide is about more than just what to do in Statesboro; it’s about the faces you’ll meet and the incredible memories you’ll make. We’re proud to see this recognized on a national stage.”

Accent Creative Group is a Lawrenceville-based creative marketing studio. The 2024 guide is available at all Georgia Visitor Information Centers, at Visit Statesboro, and online at VisitStatesboro.org.
