Teen stable after stabbing
Woman charged with aggravated assault
Albany Washington

A 16-year-old girl reported missing from Henry County was taken to a Savannah hospital after being stabbed multiple times Tuesday.

Albany Washington, 18, Madison Meadows, remains in the Bulloch County Jail without bond after being charged with aggravated assault in connection with the stabbing, said Statesboro Police Det. Sgt. Patrick Haralson.

The two females were reportedly involved in a fistfight at Renaissance Apartments on Chandler Road, and Washington went home to Madison Meadows afterward, he said.

There, she sent text messages to the 16-year-old taunting her and inviting her to come to Madison Meadows, an apartment complex on Packinghouse Road, to fight further, according to Haralson.

When the younger teen arrived at Washington’s home, more blows were traded, and Washington “came out with two knives,” he said. She reportedly stabbed the victim in the chest, abdomen and right forearm.

The 16-year-old, who was on probation and reported missing from Henry County, was taken to the emergency room and then to Memorial Hospital in Savannah, where she is recovering, he said.

Washington awaits further court action as she remains in the Bulloch County Jail.
