The Averitt Center for the Arts is looking for a few good men and women. A body that oversees management of the Averitt Center and its various programs, the Statesboro Arts Council, is currently accepting applications to fill vacancies on its Board of Directors, said Tim Chapman, the center’s executive director. As many as five seats could be available for persons wanting to donate their time to support local arts programs. “(The Statesboro Arts Council) has three board members that have completed their final term and will be rotating off the board,” said Theresa Novotny, past president of the Council.
