Well, I guess we now know why those fine men were fired back in May from both the fire department and the ... police department. Another lawsuit. Hmm. Way to go, city council.
Good morning. This is for the teachers at Mattie Lively that need to keep your ... thermostat on 78 degrees. ... I would suggest lowering it and if the bills go sky-high, the board will just increase ... taxes to cover the bill. And the superintendent can remain comfortable, too.
President Truman had a sign on his desk statin', 'The buck stops here.' Obama needs one sayin', 'The change stops here.'
It's a shame how people who just sit on Dunlap Street ... and don't work ... and take up the tax ... and ... and use the taxpayers' money. They need to get a job ... get a life and the police need to come ... investigate. ... Drugs everywhere on the street.
Did you know that the U.S. taxpayers ... we, the people, spend a $113 billion dollars annually on illegal aliens? ... And 84.2 billion of that comes at the state and local level. It's time we stopped all this free welfare for illegal aliens.
I have a suggestion for President Obama. If you love America ... and you love the American people and are concerned about jobs, why don't you just do like Presidents Hoover, Truman and Eisenhower? Load up all these 15 to 20 million illegal aliens ... deport them ... and you've provided America with 15 to 20 million jobs. Very simple. Prove you love America.
"I think we're gettin' a little tired of our local city and county officials wasting our taxpayer money and then wantin' to raise our taxes. … And now the board of education … wantin' to raise our property taxes because they ran out of money. If they hadn't wasted a hundred thousand dollars on the new phone system they didn't need, maybe they wouldn't run out of money if they didn't do stupid things like that."
"Well, the country's in grave danger again. … Congress is planning to come back into session."
"You know, there was one city employee who got fired last year … who didn't sue and didn't get a penny … and he was the one who deserved it the most."
"Thank God there are still some honest people in this world. My purse was lost but was returned without anything missin'. I didn't get to get her name, but a lady from Metter returned it. I ask God special blessin' on her."
"… I'm callin' concernin' … the road on Pulaski Highway. … There need to be a cautious light there at the bypass. There have been wrecks. I pass that road every day and I see cars almost to get in a wreck. Please get a caution light … or red light … to save someone life.
