The Rotary Club of Downtown Statesboro invites the community to its first "Rotary in the Gardens" Spring Gala.

The event will take place 7 p.m., Thursday, May 1 at the Georgia Southern Botanic Gardens. The gala will raise funds for the club's ongoing community service initiatives and celebrate the spirit of the Rotary motto – "Service Above Self."

"We are thrilled to host the 'Rotary in the Gardens' Spring Gala and bring our community together in support of meaningful causes," Kathy Spivey, president of the Rotary Club of Downtown Statesboro, said in a release from the club.

"This event not only highlights the beauty of our local botanical gardens but also underscores our commitment to making a positive difference in Statesboro."

The gala will feature gourmet hors d'oeuvres, live music and a silent auction showcasing items from local businesses and artisans. Also, a reverse raffle will have a $10,000 grand prize.

The event offers an opportunity for attendees to engage with community leaders and learn more about the impactful projects spearheaded by the Rotary Club of Downtown Statesboro, the release stated.

Tickets for the gala are available for purchase from any member of the Rotary Club of Downtown Statesboro, or you can fill out a ticket request at https://rotaryclubofdown townstatesboro.org.
