Portal to hold public hearing on fiscal year 2009 budget July 17

    The Town of Portal will hold a public hearing on the fiscal year 2009 budget July 17 at 6:30 p.m. at Portal City Hall. Mayor Larry Motes and council members will receive both written and oral comments regarding the annual operations budget for the Town of Portal.
    The proposed budget will be available for public inspection during normal business hours at the City Hall Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    Public comments will also be accepted during Portal’s regularly scheduled council meeting.
    A called meeting will be held July 21 at Portal City Hall for the purposes of the Mayor and Town Council adopting the FY08/09 budget. The meeting is open to the public.
