Police Report - 7-3-14; A woman reported that a white pit bull attacked her dog.

    Joshua David Lamb, 20, Rocky Ford Road, Portal — theft by shoplifting.
    Edward Marion Thomas, 58, Sandhill Road, Guyton — theft by shoplifting (third offense).

    JAMES STREET — A woman reported that a white pit bull attacked her dog around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. A responding officer used pepper spray to separate the dogs, and animal control officers tried catching the reportedly vicious animal, but it escaped.
    BRYANT STREET — A man ran into a woman’s home yelling for help around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday. He told police a white car traveling at a high rate of speed chased him while he was on foot.
    MULBERRY COURT — A man called police around 11 p.m. Tuesday to have his girlfriend removed from the home because “she is lazy and doesn’t take care of their kids.” The woman told police the man was just “showing out” for his visiting uncle.
    MORRIS STREET — A man found a Ruger .380-caliber pistol and bullets, as well as a digital scale, in a maintenance closet around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday.

    John Michael Suhr, 25, Franklin Lane, Brooklet — marijuana possession, nap insurance, suspended registration, possession/use of a drug-related object.
    Fred Jackson Branch Jr., 55, Raymond Road, Pooler — theft by receiving stolen property.
    Keefer Loncon Clemmons, 23, Robert L. Reed Road — wanted person, no driver’s license.
    April Paige Elliott, 33, Old River Road North — public intoxication.
    Samiy Alquis McCuff, 20, Lanier Drive — sale of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession/use of a drug-related object.
    Jeremy Doyle Sapp, 43, Lee Street — second degree burglary.

    OLD RIVER ROAD SOUTH — (Statesboro) A woman called deputies around 11 p.m. Monday to report that she was in a car driven by a drunken man who would not allow her to leave. Deputies found the man sober, but arrested the woman for public intoxication.

    None reported Tuesday.

    Officers issued one traffic citation and four traffic warnings Tuesday.
    GEORGIA AVENUE — An officer exited his patrol car to question suspects involved in an apparent altercation around 2:20 p.m. Saturday. Upon returning to where he left his patrol car, he realized he had left his keys inside and that the vehicle had been moved. The car was found parked by a dumpster behind Retriever’s Bar and Grill.
