ARRESTS

Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University, and Georgia State Patrol arrests made Friday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

Statesboro Police
    Jason Elliott Ellerbe, 27, Appenics Drive, Ft. Riley, KS – failure to appear in court.
    Albert G. Weaver, 32, Daphne Lane, Register – suspended license.

Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office
    Robert Ashton Byrd,18, Main Street, Daisy – burglary, possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
    Bandon Levi Boyette, 18, Capron Lane - burglary, possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
    Lewis Earl Vanmeter, 22, Blocker Road, Glennville - burglary, possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
    Adton Tate Ekholm, 19, Georgia Avenue - burglary, possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

Brooklet Police arrests
    Brandon Chase Gifford, 18, Tall Timbers Lane, Brooklet - terroristic threats, possesion of alcohol by underage persons, and willfully obstructing or hindering law enforcement officers.
    Xavier Alexander McIver , 25, Brianna Circle, Savannah - suspended license, speeding.  
    Doyle Lee Norman, 43, Turnerberry Street, Port Wentworth - DUI, DUI/endangering a child, failure to maintaine lane, and open container

INCIDENTS
Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University, and Georgia State Patrol  incidents occurring Friday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

Statesboro Police 
    PARK PLACE APARTMENTS – A woman said she was visiting an apartment when another woman walked in, then began beating on the bathroom door, where the complainant was located. The offender threatened bodily harm over text messages about a former mutual friend.
    GEOVISTA CREDIT UNION – A man who cashed two money orders returned with four more, in large sums, and the clerk told him she had to hold them for verification. The money orders were fraudulent.

Bulloch Sheriff’s Office
    OLD GRINNEL PLANT – (Clito) Four men were arrested for stealing several duffel bags, hard hats, wrench, cassette tape, gloves, goggles, ink pens, umbrella, microphone, respirators and accessories, earphones, building blueprints, a clipboard, flash light, medical supplies, cosmetic wedges and sponges, a crowbar, two machetes, rubbing alcohol, bottled water, and some rope.

    DUI/child endangerment – one.
    DUI – one.
    Failure to maintain lane – one.
    Obstruction – one.
    Open container – one.
    Possession of alcohol by a minor – one.
    Speeding – six.
    Stop sign – two.
    Suspended license – one.
    Terroristic threats – one.
 
Statesboro-Bulloch County Animal Shelter Reports
    The shelter reported the following activity during the week of May 23-29.
    Surrendered by citizens in rural county areas– eight dogs and 30 cats.
    Surrendered by citizens in Statesboro city limits – six cats.
    Collected by Humane Enforcement officers in rural county areas – 10 dogs and seven cats.
    Collected by Humane Enforcement officers in Statesboro city limits – three dogs and two cats.
    Adopted from the shelter – four dogs and two cats.
    Reclaimed by owners – seven dogs.
    Died at shelter – three cats.
    Euthanized – 10 dogs and 12 cats.
    Fees collected - $690.
