Incidents
    STATESBORO HIGH SCHOOL — A female student was arrested for
knife possession around 10:30 a.m. Jan. 27.
    BIG HEAD BARBER SHOP — A woman told police around 10:15 a.m. Friday that a female has been stalking her for the past month.
    ROUNTREE STREET — A woman told police around 6 p.m. Wednesday that her child’s father posted a video on Facebook indicating he would kill her.
    JULIA P. BRYANT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL — A student was found to have a BB gun in his book bag around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. He said he accidentally brought it to school.
    BAYMONT INN & SUITES — Police responded to a call from a man who said he heard gunshots on the fourth floor around
7:34 a.m. Friday. No evidence of gunfire was found.
    WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — A man was found unconscious around 9:15 p.m. Friday. Investigation led to his arrest for intentionally inhaling glue or similar substances.
    Around 7:30 p.m. Friday, an employee recognized a person suspected of a
Jan. 14 shoplifting that was caught on video. Police advised him of warrant procedures.
    Around noon Saturday, a man and teenage girl were arrested for shoplifting meat snacks and DVDs.
    Around 5 p.m. Saturday, a woman was arrested for shoplifting $230 worth of groceries and $286 worth of clothing.
    COURTLAND STREET — A man reported the theft of an undisclosed felony amount of money from his business around 8:45 a.m. Friday. An employee was listed as a suspect.
    ROWAND CIRCLE — Police responded to a home around 7:30 p.m. Friday and 11:45 a.m. Saturday because a woman claimed a man struck her on both occasions. Officers returned around 3 p.m. Saturday when the woman said the man came into the home and stabbed her in the leg. No arrests were made at the time, but a detective is investigating the incidents.
    JAMES STREET — Two witnesses told police they saw a car, unknown make or model, with unknown people inside firing shots into the
air as they passed around 2:15 p.m. Saturday.
    SOUTH COLLEGE STREET — Police responded around 4:30 p.m. Saturday to a call about one man striking a 62-year-old man in the face while a second offender recorded the action on video. Both men were arrested.

Incidents
    CEDARWOOD ACRES MOBILE HOME PARK — Children were removed from a mother’s custody around 9:30 a.m. Friday after a social caseworker found marijuana and rolling papers on a counter. A man there cursed at the caseworker and threatened to throw her out if she did not leave. He was gone upon deputies’ arrival.
    WOMACK ROAD SOUTH — A man told deputies around 1:10 a.m. Saturday that he heard an explosion that made his camper shake. Neighbors reported hearing it as well, and on previous occasions. Deputies investigated and spoke with a man who said another man had been blowing up beaver dams.
    SUNCREST DRIVE — (Portal) Deputies responded to a dispute between neighbors around 4:45 p.m. Sunday. One woman threatened the other and threw items at her car as she passed.

    Officers issued one traffic citation Friday through Sunday.
