WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — Two juveniles were caught shoplifting $60 worth of cosmetics and a piece of lingerie valued at $5 around 7:15 p.m. Thursday. They were released to their guardians after police contacted the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office
GOLF CLUB ROAD — A man told deputies around 3:20 a.m. Friday that his intoxicated girlfriend informed him she had an abortion a week before. She became upset and “tried to run out of the house naked,” he said, and he called 911 because he didn’t know what else to do. That made the woman even more upset, he said. After deputies arrived, he said he would let the woman “sleep it off” and then go home, as she did not live with him.

The shelter reported the following activity during the week of Feb. 9-15:
Surrendered by citizens — 12 dogs and one cat from rural county areas; two dogs from City of Statesboro.
Collected by officers — 16 dogs and three cats from rural county areas; one dog and six cats from City of Statesboro.
Adopted from shelter — six dogs and two cats.
Reclaimed by owners — 13 dogs.
Died at shelter — two dogs.
Euthanized — six dogs and four cats.
Fees collected — $705.
