Incidents
    LANIER DRIVE — Police released a report Monday regarding an incident in which two men were arrested around 1:20 a.m. Jan. 30 on drug charges. Police also recovered a Smith & Wesson .38-caliber revolver in the rear floorboard of their car.
    WEST JONES AVENUE — Police reported around 2:15 a.m. Jan. 30 that a man they said was responsible for a hit-and-run accident was arrested after being spotted walking. He was charged with several traffic charges, as well as false report of a crime, but reports did not give reasons for that charge.
    THE FORK — Someone reported the theft of $700 and a fireproof safe from the location at Northside Drive East and Savannah Avenue.
    SUBWAY — (Chandler Road) A woman representing Open Hearts Community Mission told police around 2 p.m. Feb. 1 that a donation box holding $30 cash was stolen. Reports listed a suspect. No arrests were made, but the complainant stated later that the suspect returned the money and made an additional donation.
    WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — A man and woman were arrested around 2:15 p.m. Thursday for shoplifting a thermometer, Vicks thermal product, a wallet, gloves, aspirator and baby wipes. The woman worked at the store, and when she tried to get a fraudulent refund on the stolen items, the effort failed, so they left without paying for the items.
