WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — Two offenders were detained after shoplifting $206 worth of clothes and other items.
Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office
KENDRICKS ROAD — A woman reported seeing a man with a raincoat and hat, holding a flash light, outside her home.
EL CHEAPO/HWY. 80 WEST — A woman said her child’s father struck her in the face and then damaged her car, cracking the windshield. When she pulled over, he fled into the woods, she said.
Georgia Southern University Police
Officers issued two traffic citations and six traffic warnings and assisted three motorists.
SOUTHERN VILLAS — Officers stopped a juvenile riding a bike that was too big for him. The juvenile said it was his brother’s bike. A check through Statesboro Police revealed the bike was stolen. The boys’ mother didn’t know where her older son got the bike, and the older juvenile was not available for questioning.
OLD REGISTER ROAD — Officers investigated an incident where a vehicle struck a bicycle rider in the roundabout. The victim suffered minor visible injuries.
HENDERSON LIBRARY — A woman reported being robbed of a purse. But officers later discovered she was not being truthful. After being found out, the woman claimed the robbery happened off campus and she didn’t report it because she didn’t have a car to go to Statesboro Police, and didn’t think they would make a report anyway, she said. Then she declined to press charges.
