STATESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
    Melissa M. Miller, 52, U.S. Highway 80 East, Brooklet — theft by shoplifting.
    Thomas Edward Patterson, 19, Lanier Drive — fleeing/attempt to elude, marijuana possession, tampering with evidence, abandonment of a controlled substance.
    Jaquez Latavuis Davis, 20, Lanier Drive — marijuana possession, tampering with evidence, abandonment of a controlled substance.
    Alexa Nicole Brooks, 19, Lanier Drive — marijuana possession, tampering with evidence, abandonment of a controlled substance.

Incidents
    MORRIS HEIGHTS APARTMENTS — A woman said five unknown females entered her home to argue with another woman. The argument centered around a fake Facebook page where comments were made about the offenders.
    In a separate incident, a woman told police a man posted threats on Facebook that he was going to kill her and her family.
In a third incident, police mediated between a man and woman arguing.
    SUPERIOR AUTOMOTIVE OF STATESBORO — An employee called a customer to tell her they would seek her arrest for stealing two truck batteries. The woman said an employee traded batteries with her due to their being still under warranty.
    WOODLAND APARTMENTS — Someone stole a TV, safe and two laptop computers.
    FRONTIER COMMUNICATIONS — Someone broke into five work vehicles and a subcontractor’s trailer and stole DeWalt drills from each.
    SOUTHERN POINTE APARTMENTS — A man said another struck him, breaking a tooth, slicing open an ear and causing scrapes and abrasions.

BULLOCH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
The Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office and Jail are experiencing computer troubles that are preventing staff from being able to record and issue copies of reports as well as inmate photographs. Bulloch County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Jared Akins said Tuesday that the problems are expected to be resolved soon. The jail’s computer system is being upgraded and information being backed up, which can take time considering all the data stored, he said. The Statesboro Herald will report backlogged arrest and incident reports as soon as they become available.

Arrests
    Officers issued no traffic citations Monday.
    Joshua Russell Manley, 19, Georgia Avenue — criminal trespass and underage possession of alcohol.
    Conner Bennett Burnes, 20, Georgia Avenue — criminal trespass, underage possession of alcohol.
 
Incidents
    Officers issued six traffic warnings and assisted eight motorists Monday.
    HOUSING SHOP — Two subjects kicked in the doors of the Housing Paint Shop and Refrigerator Shop. Both were apprehended and arrested by officers.
