Statesboro Police Department
GREENWOOD AVENUE — A man reported hearing gunshots, but police found no evidence of gunfire.
EAST GRADY/SOUTH MAIN STREETS — A woman said a stranger propositioned her, then verbally attacked her.
WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — A second-offense shoplifter was caught trying to swap prices on a $189 mixer.
A fourth-offender shoplifter was arrested after trying to steal $14 worth of clothing.
LANIER DRIVE — A woman reported receiving three calls on her house phone from three different women threatening her boyfriend.
THE CONNECTION APARTMENTS — Two people argued, and one was served with criminal trespass for the apartment complex.
SAV-A-LOT — Someone called police requesting a welfare check be done on children. By the time police arrived, the kids and adult guardians had left in a van. Police located the van, checked, and the children appeared to be safe and in good condition.
Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office
SOUTHEAST BULLOCH MIDDLE SCHOOL — A student caught smoking on a school bus was also found with a cigar and lighter. He also had a zipper-lock baggie with a white powdery substance he said was Prozac he took out of the capsules. He was arrested.
C.L.WOODS ROAD — A woman called deputies because her husband was cursing her, “verbally abusing her by using words of profanity against her.”
STILSON LEEFIELD ROAD — A man told deputies his dog went missing. He found him, as he drove his father’s tractor down the road, and saw a woman walking the dog. The dog tried to jump onto the tractor. The woman had possession of him, and she claimed to have spent $500 having him neutered and microchipped. She offered the man $100 if she could keep the dog. The man said he has photos and other proof of ownership of the dog.
