Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office
    HIGHWAY 80/SPEIGHTS LANE — A man said his vehicle caught fire as he traveled down the road. He got out, extinguished the fire and pushed the car off the roadway, where it was later towed.
    HIGHWAY 80/IVANHOE LANE — A vehicle parked partially in the roadway was towed after efforts to locate the owner were futile.
    J.W. LANE ROAD — A power company employee reported a meter had been tampered with and power had been used illegally. A property owner said he thought his property’s power was linked to a second home, which he bought under foreclosure, and he was unaware that it had its own meter and that someone had tampered with it illegally to gain power.

Statesboro Police Department
    EAST JONES AVENUE — Officers responded to a report of simple battery, but the complainant did not wish to press charges.
    VARIOUS LOCATIONS — Officers investigated five accidents Wednesday.

Georgia Southern University Police
    Officers issued six traffic citations and one traffic warning and assisted six motorists.
    G LOT — Someone reported a vehicle stolen, but reports listed the incident as unfounded.
