▲ U.S. HIGHWAY 80 EAST — A man reported receiving a text message, from a friend, with a screenshot from Facebook of a comment made by the mother of the man’s child. This was logged as a “harassing communications” incident.

▲ BROOKLET ELEMENTARY SCHOOL — A “suspicious incident” report was filed with no action taken, and no details were given in the media summary.

▲ BLACKBERRY COURT — In another “harassing communications” incident, a woman reported that a former family friend sent her a text telling her “how to live her life” with such details as that she needed to clean her house and how to take care of her children. After the deputy asked if she had already done so, the complainant sent the former friend a message asking her to stop. The deputy also contacted the former friend advising her that the complainant wanted her to stop contacting her.


➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ SAGEBRUSH APARTMENTS — An incident at 11:15 p.m. Monday was logged as an armed robbery with a gun at a residence.

▲ LANIER DRIVE — After police responded to a call reporting simple battery, a woman identified as the victim was transported to the hospital for a medical evaluation.

▲ BERMUDA RUN ROAD — Police responded Tuesday afternoon to a report of a fight that had already occurred and took witness statements from people involved.

▲ JEWELL DRIVE — An officer who responded to a domestic dispute attempted to mediate between those involved, but then one woman became irate and was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge, the officer reported.

▲ A RESIDENCE — A complainant met with an officer at a friend’s home to report an incident involving battery and theft of personal items. The officer photographed the victim’s injuries and took a statement.

▲ VARIOUS LOCATIONS — Officers filed reports of six traffic accidents occurring  between midnight Tuesday and 2 p.m. Wednesday.

▲ Officers issued one traffic warning and no citations and assisted four motorists.

▲ PARKING LOT 42 — A motor vehicle accident was reported.

▲ PARKING LOT 11 — A property damage report was filed.

▲ G LOT — A report of possession of drug-related objects and underage possession of alcohol resulted in a campus judicial referral.

▲ SOUTHERN PINES — An arrest was made for misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

▲ AGENCY ASSISTS — Officers assisted Statesboro police with unspecified calls on Chandler Road and Lanier Drive and at Southern Courtyard.
